East Midlands rail upgrades to affect journeys across two August weekends

- Northern Services: Rail replacement buses will operate between Sheffield and Nottingham.
- East Midlands Railway: Amended timetables on the Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich route, with no stops at Ilkeston, Langley Mill, or Alfreton, and reduced services for Sheffield.

- Flood Prevention: Renewal of 495 meters of drainage at Alfreton, Derbyshire, to mitigate flooding risks during heavy rainfall.
- Track Maintenance: Upgrades to points at Blackwell South Junction and Trowell Junction, extending their operational lifespan.
